Peridynamic Analysis on Failure of Cantilever Beam Subjected to a Concentrated Force and Uniform Distributed Traction

Peridynamics (PD) is a reformulation of the classical continuum mechanics. Its core consists in that weighted integral relative displacement over spatial domain used instead derivative governing equations deformation. Based on an improved technique exerting traction boundary surface, peridynamic motion equation has been proposed within framework peridynamic(PD) theory. It more natural and easier to deal with conditions for elastic deformation fracture analysis. Under enhancement effect constructed transfer functions traction, there not needed surface correction due material points closed incompleteness horizon numerical algorithm. Following new equation, we calculate deflection cantilever beam subject concentrated force at free end uniform distributed upper side. The acquired solutions are close analytical elasticity given by finite element method. results show valid calculating failure solid. provides method path analysis value problems peridynamics.
